Separation - the cause of suffering!
All notions, believes and thoughts held in our mind about our
personal life, our family, our jobs, our personality and our world in general
stem from the root belief of separation! That we are separate from the whole of
existence.
We believe that we are this little, helpless, powerless,
lonely person. And that surviving in this world is difficult. And that we must
protect ourselves from all dangers to our life, self-image, status, finances,
relations etc…etc….
We believe that we are insecure at all times in this hostile world, we are not having enough resources, we are not valuable enough, not worthy enough, nobody loves us enough, don’t have the guidance/wisdom to lead our lives, have no control over our life and are utterly dependent on everything and everyone around us! Life is a bitch and then we die! That is the root belief of Separation.
We formed the notion of Separation through millions of experiences from thousands of years of our survival as species. IT is passed on from generation to generation. As DNA, cellular memories, genetics and then bolstered up by the upbringing environments. IT has become so hardwired in our minds that we cannot see the reality in any other way.
Imagine the time you were looking at 3D drawing of a Cube.
Your mind recognized the cube facing in one way but the reality also exists
where the cube could be perceived to face the other way! But you just couldn’t
see it.
Notion of separation from the whole is extremely uncomfortable,
scary, lonely and depressing. However, over the years we learned to cope with
it. We created lots and lots of behavior patterns that would helps us feel
better in the moment. And these patterns are anger, jealousy, manipulations, politics,
sadness, self-harm, distractions into pleasures, avoidance of life experiences,
Monotony and routines, relationship dependencies, jobs, Money, insurance schemes
for practically all things physical!
We forget that nothing…. absolutely nothing that is physical
ever lasts! Still, we hold on to the physical things, matter and people;
literally cling to it like our life depends on it!
The notion of separation makes us crippled from inside out.
Unaware of our own power, potential, love and wisdom!
Separation also gives rise to the notion of duality! The
good and the bad, lower and higher, right and wrong, love and hate and eventually
me and the you. It first divides you from inside. You like certain things about
you and hate certain things about you. You then do the same to the rest of the
world!
Because we believe that everyone and everything is separate from
each other, in order to comfort ourselves from the extreme loneliness of this
notion, we start aligning with certain believes, certain opinions, certain people, certain, religion, certain country…so on and so forth.
We create families, groups, camps, societies and nations. We
then start identifying ourselves with them as US. That makes us feel a little
larger, little grander. But the moment we are faced with a group that is not
like us, there is danger, insecurity, hostility, hatred, irritation. As the
other group threatens our very own identity and existence.
However, you are forgetting that your very identity is based
on certain loosely formed notions about who you are and what life is! They are based on the separation and duality.
And so, no matter how many rules-regulations, campaigns, laws or wars we fight,
we can never create peace or unity amongst us. The true division or the war is being played
inside of us. There will always be a side that wins and a side that loses and
that is a defeat for all of us as a collective species.
Peace and love, can only be felt as we all work on our individual selves
in shifting this misunderstanding of separation to the one of wholeness and
abundance! It shifts one by one, as each of us work diligently on shifting our consciousness
and awakening to who we truly are! The Wholeness, Abundance, Love, Prosperity, Wisdom are all
available to us. To every single one of us, without exception. As we are one , we always have been. And it is time we wake up to this truth!
